Pakistan Cancels Passports of 4,000+ Deported from Saudi Arabia

Pakistan has revoked the passports of over 4,000 people who were deported from Saudi Arabia for begging and criminal activity. The action was confirmed by the Ministry of Interior Affairs during a recent Senate Standing Committee meeting led by MNA Raja Khurram Nawaz. Saudi officials had sent a list of 4,300 individuals involved in such activities, which led to their passports being canceled once they returned to Pakistan.

Minister of State for Interior Affairs Talat Chaudhry said the government is taking serious steps to stop such behavior. New laws and advanced profiling systems are being introduced to deal with the issue of beggary and improve accountability. These efforts aim to protect Pakistan’s image and stop misuse of travel documents.

The committee also talked about ways to stop illegal immigration and to better control the issuance of arms licenses. These measures are part of a wider plan to improve public safety and enforce law and order.

Authorities say this action sends a strong message against using foreign travel for unlawful purposes. The government aims to create a better and safer image for Pakistan internationally.
