Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Distributes Shoes to Flood-Affected Children in Multan

MULTAN, Sept 4, 2025 — Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited flood-affected areas in Multan on Wednesday, distributing shoes to children and adults as part of ongoing relief efforts. The gesture aimed to provide comfort and protection to those displaced by recent monsoon floods.

During her visit to the Qasim Bela flood relief camp, CM Maryam Nawaz interacted with displaced families, distributing shoes, food, and clothing. She also engaged with children, providing school supplies and light-hearted interactions to uplift their spirits. Officials said the initiative was meant to support vulnerable communities and restore a sense of dignity during difficult times.


Local Reaction

Residents at Qasim Bela camp expressed gratitude for the visit, describing the gesture as a morale boost amid ongoing hardship. Parents said that receiving shoes and other essentials will help children continue attending makeshift schools set up in the camps.
