Mumbai Police File Forgery Case Against Business Tycoon Nusli Wadia and Family

MUMBAI, September 24, 2025 — Mumbai police have registered a case against 81-year-old business magnate Nusli Nevil Wadia, grandson of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, along with several of his family members, in connection with a decades-old property dispute.

The FIR, filed on court orders, follows allegations by Ferani Hotels Pvt Ltd’s CEO that the Wadia family submitted forged and fabricated documents related to a 30-year-old land development agreement in Malad. The case has long been entangled in legal battles, moving through the Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court, with charges of cheating, forgery, and conspiracy repeatedly raised.

Police officials confirmed that the contested documents are being verified before further action is taken. As of now, no official response has been issued by the Wadia family.
