Mandla Mandela Compares Palestinian Conditions to Apartheid Ahead of Gaza Aid Mission

JOHANNESBURG: Mandla Mandela, grandson of former South African President Nelson Mandela, said Palestinians are enduring conditions under Israeli occupation that are “far worse” than apartheid in South Africa.

Speaking before joining a flotilla carrying food and humanitarian aid to Gaza, Mandela called on the international community to support Palestinians, drawing parallels to global solidarity with South Africans during the anti-apartheid struggle.

He emphasized the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, noting that access to essential supplies, freedom of movement, and basic human rights remain severely restricted. Mandela’s mission aims to deliver aid while raising awareness about the plight of Palestinians under ongoing occupation.
