Man Climbs Mobile Tower in Islamabad Demanding Meeting with COAS Asim Munir

ISLAMABAD, Sep 24 — A man climbed a mobile-phone tower at Kashmir Chowk, Islamabad, threatening to take his own life if he was not allowed to meet Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Authorities, including police, city officials, firefighters, and ambulance crews, quickly cordoned off the area, causing major traffic disruptions. After several hours of negotiations, the man safely descended from the tower and was taken into police custody.

He later told officials that his actions were driven by his deep admiration for the army chief.
