Israeli Forces Launch Major Raid in Tulkarem, Arrest Over 100 Palestinians

TULKAREM, September 12, 2025 — Israeli forces carried out a large-scale raid in the West Bank city of Tulkarem, arresting more than 100 Palestinians and imposing a complete curfew on the city. The move followed an attack in East Jerusalem earlier this week that killed six people.

In addition to the arrests, Israeli authorities ordered home demolitions, sanctioned families of alleged attackers, and sealed off nearby towns. Human rights groups denounced the measures as collective punishment, arguing that such actions violate international law and further exacerbate civilian suffering.

Since the start of the Gaza war last year, violence in the West Bank has surged. Thousands of Palestinians have been detained, hundreds of homes demolished, and daily raids have become routine, with rights advocates warning that the escalation is fueling a wider cycle of unrest.
