Hollywood Icon Robert Redford Passes Away at 89

LOS ANGELES, Sept 15: Legendary actor and director Robert Redford has passed away at the age of 89.

Known for classics such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and The Sting, he also won an Academy Award for directing Ordinary People. Beyond acting and directing, he reshaped cinema by founding the Sundance Film Festival, which gave independent filmmakers a global platform.

Redford dedicated much of his life to activism and environmental causes, leaving behind a legacy that extends far beyond Hollywood.
