High Flood Levels Reported at Indus, Chenab and Sutlej Rivers
LAHORE, September 15, 2025 — The Flood Forecasting Division has reported fresh flood surges across Pakistan’s major rivers, with water levels rising at several key barrages.
On the Indus River, inflow at Guddu Barrage peaked at 635,759 cusecs, while outflow was slightly lower at 606,489 cusecs, placing the barrage under high-level flood conditions. At Sukkur Barrage, inflows reached 506,560 cusecs against an outflow of 455,510 cusecs, marking a moderate flood situation.
The Chenab River is also swelling, with Head Panjnad recording 369,085 cusecs, while at Gandasingh Wala, flows measured 108,049 cusecs. On the Sutlej River, Head Islam is under moderate flood pressure, with inflows at 83,655 cusecs and outflows at 82,155 cusecs.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have urged residents in downstream areas to remain vigilant and adhere to safety advisories.
