PM to Distribute Free Laptops in Karachi as Part of Rs. 334 Billion Mega Projects

KARACHI, September 24, 2025 — Karachi is set to witness a historic moment this December as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will personally distribute free laptops to thousands of students in a major youth empowerment initiative. The ceremony will take place at Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum, underscoring the symbolic significance of investing in the city’s future.

Government Spokesperson Raja Ansari confirmed that alongside the laptop program, the federal government and Sindh government are jointly rolling out 22 mega projects worth Rs. 334 billion. These initiatives are focused on education, infrastructure, and city-wide development. Ansari stressed that the plan is about cooperation rather than politics, ensuring Karachi’s progress aligns with its true potential.
