Medico-Legal Report Rules Out Sexual Assault in Humaira Asghar Case

KARACHI, September 10, 2025 — The final medico-legal report in the death case of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar has revealed blood stains on her clothes, though only limited DNA traces were recovered. The report confirmed that only skeletal remains were found, with no soft tissue or major organs, making it impossible to determine the exact cause of death.

According to the report, blood traces were found on her T-shirt and trousers. However, the DNA retrieved from these stains was insufficient for conclusive identification or determining the source.

Humaira Asghar was discovered dead in her Karachi flat on July 8, 2025, when her landlord, backed by a court bailiff and police, forced open the locked apartment door due to unpaid rent. Authorities say the body was in an advanced state of decomposition.

Investigators stated that because the remains consisted only of bones and lacked organs, toxicology or cause-of-death analyses cannot proceed. Forensic limitations including the absence of a national DNA databank were cited as hindrances.

The investigation is ongoing; no evidence of sexual assault was found in the report, but police have not dismissed other possibilities. Authorities continue to examine digital evidence and await further forensic findings.
