Internation Islamic University student shot dead at hostel in Islamabad
A 23-year-old female student of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) was shot dead at a private hostel in G-10/1, Islamabad. According to police, the suspect entered the hostel by jumping a wall and waited in the courtyard before forcing his way into her room and shooting her in front of three other girls. He fled the scene afterward. A murder case has been registered following a complaint by the victim’s brother.
IIUI expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended condolences to the bereaved family. The university clarified that the incident did not occur on its campus or official hostels.
