Thousands gathered in Istanbul’s Uskudar district on Sunday for a mass rally titled “Gaza is Dying! Rise Up!” to protest Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza. Organised by humanitarian groups, the demonstration saw participants waving Turkish and Palestinian flags, chanting anti-Israel slogans, and holding signs like “Stop the genocide in Gaza” and “50,800+ martyred in Palestine.” The rally condemned the war that has claimed tens of thousands of lives since October 7, 2023.

Speakers, including IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation Deputy Chairperson Ahmet Goksun, called on Muslim-majority countries to act against what they described as Israeli crimes against humanity. Goksun criticised silence in the Islamic world, labeling some as “cowards and collaborators.”
